The Boing! Story

Once upon a time there was a magical village known as Jamaica Plain.

JP had everything a village needed: green parks, a big pond, a zoo, two libraries, fields to play baseball and soccer, delicious restaurants with food from around the world, a special grocery store, a delicious ice cream parlor . . . it even had a special bathing salon for puppy dogs!

JP was a great place to live, but it was missing one thing - it did not have a toy store. The parents of JP had to travel far away to shop for toys for their children.

But they didn't want to go to the mall and they didn't want to go to other towns and hunt for parking. They wanted a proper toy store that was easy to get to, where they had personal service and was filled with good toys. These parents knew that good toys build good brains!

Then one day in October 2001 a miracle occurred! No one knows exactly how... some say the earth rumbled and shook... others say the sky opened up and the answer to their wishes came raining down. But, truth be told, it was a former teacher, the good fairy Auntie Elaine who sprang forth and created Boing! JP's Toy Shop.

Now, the parents of JP and the parents from all the nearby towns and villages come to Boing! to buy proper toys. They find toys that engage minds, tease curiosity, tempt exploration, ignite imagination and most importantly, create lots of giggles and smiles.

Boing! has toys for children of all ages so now everyone from far and wide can visit and have a good time. And that's not the end of this story... it's just the beginning!
